Standard Upgrade: Anyone who has purchased any Ivory 1.0, 1.5, or 1.7 product can upgrade to the Ivory II version of that product!
Several years ago, when Synthogy released the first ever large-scale virtual piano product called Ivory, little did they know what they were starting. After their initial success, it didn’t take long for a host of imitators to come out of the woodwork with their own sampled pianos, some using off-the-shelf sample players, and some with custom engines similar to Ivory’s. But very few have even come close to the truly masterful implementation of Ivory, delivering three magnificent grand pianos with an artful attention to detail and taste that no other virtual piano, whether hardware or software, has surpassed.
Over time, Synthogy has added other pianos to their repertoire. Ivory–Italian Grand, and Ivory–Upright Pianos offer customers the widest choice of brilliantly executed pianos of any virtual instrument company.
Add to that Synthogy’s proprietary synth and sampling technologies and one begins to understand why Ivory is the one of the best selling virtual pianos of all time. In fact, the Ivory pianos are so ubiquitous, they are heard everywhere, on hit records, film and TV soundtracks, commercials, and in concert halls, churches, small live venues and stadium tours.
Now, after many years of painstaking development, Synthogy releases Ivory II, the first major upgrade to all of its Ivory pianos since they were first launched. Significant improvements have been made to both the piano DSP engine and to the integrated sample libraries that come together to create a sound and performance experience like no other.
The initial announcement of Ivory II certainly raised eyebrows. Ivory II so impressed the music press when it was previewed at the 2010 NAMM Show in January that it won the industry’s most coveted international award. In March of 2010, more than 100 music product magazines from all over the world selected Ivory II to win the M.I.P.A. Award in the category of Best Software Instrument.
