The Roland Scooper Scatter Effect module is the resulting combination of a single-pass loop recorder and a Scatter effect. It specializes in manipulating and glitching incoming audio in various ways. After users record an audio loop they can alter the pitch, process the sample through the Scoop’s filter and various Scatter types that split and twist various “steps” of the loop.
Parameters like Scatter type amount, depth, sync trigger, pitch, filter, and Scatter on/off are all CV’able, and the module features two ins/outs that enable it pull double duty as a 24bit/96kHz audio interface.
Additionally, the Scooper’s internal signal path is fully customizable via an app that works on Mac and PC, as well as iOS and Android devices. This app lets users reconfigure 15 virtual sub-modules within the Scooper using a simple drag and drop procedure. Customized settings can be created on-the-fly and efficiently saved and recalled, and are even able to be shared with other Scooper users.
