The Frequency Central Raging Bull filter and amplifier combo is based on the VCF and VCA in the Moog Taurus MK I, a classic bass synth. The Moog filter sound is great for bases and growls, especially the way this filter is always routed into the VCA which can add some overdrive when the level is turned up on the VCA.
The Raging Bull has two audio inputs which have attenuators so you can adjust how hard you hit the filter input. The output jack alwasy comes out of the VCA, but if you want the VCA to stay open you can switch the VCA switch to on. There is a level knob for the VCA, cutoff and emphasis(resonance). The bottom of the module has two CV inputs, one they each have attenuators for Cutoff modulation amount, and the top CV input controls the VCA as well as the filter, but if you want seprate control of VCA and VCF you can use the top CV for VCA and the bottom one for the VCF.
- Moog Taurus MK I style VCF and VCA
- Drive from VCA
- VCA drone switch
- All inputs have attenuators
