Powerful analog bass sound creation and an Electribe-inspired sequencer.

Following in the tradition of the monotron, monotribe, and MS-20 Mini analog synthesizers, Korg reveals the Volca series. Volca is a new set of EDM production tools. These robust and easy-to-use true-analog devices provide a diverse array of huge sounds that can be achieved only from a real analog synthesizer. Each is also armed with sequencing/recording abilities for intuitively creating performances. Multiple Volcas can be chained together for tandem use via the vintage-style sync in/out, and with favorite DAW software or MIDI keyboard through a MIDI In.

Battery operation and integrated-in speakers mean that users can easily perform anywhere and anytime. These are the next-generation analog synthesizers, providing users with the ultimate sounds and grooves with ease and depth. Whether used together or by separately, the Volca series is poised to inject real analog capability into any performance or studio setup! Aggressive tones that stand up to the drums; huge sounds that support the rhythm; funky sounds that create a groove - the Volca Bass is an analog groove box that features what users need for a huge range of bass lines. Despite being simple in structure, the analog sound engine has an undeniable presence with subtle nuances that cannot be recreated by a digital simulation; it's a perfect choice for acid house and many other genres of music. The step sequencer developed from the Electribe is not only visually intuitive; it's also a powerful way to create "free form" bass loops that will stimulate inspiration.
