This module is a thin dual vca. It uses NJM13700 OTA IC chip to perform voltage control amplification. This IC chip is a classic and found in vintage synths like Roland, Moog, Yamaha, etc. The IC chip on the simple dual vca is a modern smt recreation made in Japan.
Each vca features it's own audio input level knob, and VCA adjustment knob. The audio input has a good amount of gain to it that allows some over drive. There is also a dedicated CV knob to set the voltage control level.
The 'LFO' jack is where users can patch an LFO to create the simple dual vca do stereo panning. There are two LED's located on the top to indicate left and right rotary action.
The difference between this and the Blue Lantern Stereoscopic VCA is in the coloring. This ota based vca colors the signal when over driven. The sound has a very vintage on this vca.
