The light weight design, (only 6 lbs.) caters towards those who like to make music on the go. The portability is unmatched, with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that can run for many hours at full volume and brightness.
With 16 gigs of on-board storage, all ones samples and sessions can be stored within the device, requiring no exteral connections to computers unless otherwise desired.
Files can be accessed and transfered by the built-in SD card slot or by the two-port USB hub. If that isn't enough, there is a 2.5" SATA connector to provide additional storage via the installation of a fixed harddrive, SSD or HDD (not included.)
A software counterpoint, called MPC 2.0, can be tethered directly to the MPC Live creating many enhancements, including audio recording, an improved time warp algorithm, updated Q-Link control, drag and drop for audio and midi, all easily visible in a new graphical interface.
